Ballymacward Primary light up Christmas at Belfast International Airport
With the festive season fast approaching, Belfast International Airport has been getting ready for Christmas with thousands of lights and decorations festooning the terminal.
P4/5 from Ballymacward Primary School Lisburn were competition winners on Q Radio and won the opportunity to turn on the festive lights.
Deborah Harris Belfast International Airports PR and Marketing Manager said, “24 children and their teachers visited the airport and not only did they have the chance to turn on the tree lights but they also had a full Christmas experience in the airport terminal, where it miraculously starting snowing which allowed all of the young people to have a ball, dancing and singing, we are all definitely in the Christmas spirit now!”
Emma Mallon from Ballymacward Primary School said, “The class has been so excited since they discovered that they were going to visit the airport to turn on the Christmas tree light but also that they were treated to a party at the Maldron Hotel and then had a visit from Santa. The day has been really magical and one that the children will remember for a long time.”
