Lounge Lowdown: An Inside View Of The Causeway Lounge

After officially opening its doors on 5th April 2016 the Causeway Lounge is still very much a new addition to Belfast International Airport. And for those of you who haven’t yet visited the lounge, we thought we would show you what you’re missing!

There were high expectations for the new lounge to live up to before it was revealed and it certainly delivered, especially when it comes to layout and comfort.  Modelled on the iconic north coast landmark, The Giants Causeway, the lounge has a soothing curve that guides you from the reception desk deeper into the inviting environment. 

Upon entering the lounge, a number of highlights stand out including atmospheric lighting, floor to ceiling windows, rich colours and sumptuous soft furnishings spread out over a number of zones.

The lounge was created with different zones, each one with a separate function in mind. So whether you're in the mood to dine, relax, work, or socialize, there is something for everyone in the Causeway Lounge. 

Our favourite zone, the gourmet buffet counter is where you'll find a wide range of treats and bites. Choose from the hot and cold food selection from a range of local artisan food producers. You can also enjoy a freshly ground coffee, speciality tea or soft drink – and if you find yourself in need of a something a little stronger, pour your favourite drink from the complementary bar area!

• Location: Enter the departure lounge, and it is located just past tax free shopping, and is central to both domestic and international boarding gates
• Opening Hours: Open 7 days a week from 5:00 AM to 21:15 PM
• Amenities: Non-Smoking, Beer/Wine, Wi-Fi, Premium Drinks, Premium Food, Printers/Copiers, Complimentary Snacks, Newspapers/Magazines, TVs, Flight Monitors, Internet Terminals
• Access Eligibility: The lounge is open to all passengers travelling through Belfast International Airport with any airline, on any ticket type
