A night for celebration at the Responsible Business Awards

2 Jun 2016

Tonight is a first for Belfast International Airport!

We recently entered Business in the Community NI’s Responsible Business Awards and we’ve been successful in reaching the finalist shortlist in two categories.

Our ongoing relationship with Belfast Boys Model, Corpus Christi College and St Rose’s Dominican College, Belfast, our school tours, mentoring and work experience for students together formed the ingredients for our entry in the Educational Partner category.

The second category is Community Impact. We’ve been building our relationships with various community organisations and projects including RAMS Island, local schools - with Time to Read, and charities -  with our quarterly donations and staff fundraising.

Talking about the awards, Chair of Business in the Community NI, Roy Adair, said: “We are proud to recognise and celebrate organisations that do the right thing by their people, the planet and the places where they operate. Celebrating good business is a win-win for business and for wider society.

“Our Awards celebrate companies who realise just how important their actions, focussing not on how a company spends its profits, but how it makes them in the first place. Excitement is rising as the winners will be announced in just under two weeks.”

So, it’s a big night for #teamBIA  and all the other businesses shortlisted.

Keep your fingers crossed for us!
