_k - it’s _t that we c_n’t spell (as if!) but, as as part of our CSR commitment, we are working with the NI Blood Transfusion Service this week to raise awareness of blood donation. The service requires 8,000 new donors every year to meet demand.
To help the NIBT in their much needed work, we are taking part in the #missingtype campaign not just to raise awareness amongst #TeamBIA but also by using our website and social media platforms to bring this cause to a wider audience.
From to day until Friday you will see we are losing our A’s O’s and B’s from our logos on the website and social media platforms. This is a national campaign and you will see the story appearing on the local news. Please like, tweet and share where you can – even better why not sign up to become a donor? http://www.nibts.org/enrol.asp
The NIBTS is responsible for the collection, testing and distribution of over 64,000 blood donations each year. It operates three mobile units at around 250 locations throughout Northern Ireland, including headquarters, on the site of the Belfast City Hospital site. A total of almost 1,000 donation sessions are held each year.
