With BBC’s Children in Need Appeal taking place this weekend, Belfast International Airport is playing its part in raising money for the charity.
While collection boxes are placed throughout the airport for our generous customers to donate what they can on their travels, the airport kicked off its support by donating the prize of an airside airport tour for BBC Radio Ulster’s #Hugothon’s ‘Money Can’t Buy’ auction.
The prize raised an amazing £500 for Children in Need and the lucky winner will now get the chance to see what really goes on behind the scenes at Belfast International Airport. They will visit Air Traffic Control, have refreshments in a former control tower and receive an overnight stay for two adults and two children in the Maldron Hotel beside the airport.
See what happened when Pudsey visited us last week.
A coffee morning is taking place on Friday 13th November with tea and buns galore! #TeamBIA is providing some delicious home-baking so anyone will a sweet tooth can donate to taste a few samples.
Rumour has it that Pudsey might be making an appearance during the course of the fundraising...keep all eyes peeled!!
