Three Ulster Rugby and Ireland international stars took time out from their busy schedules to lend a helping hand to Aelia Duty Free at Belfast International Airport to get a range of Ulster Rugby sportswear off to a flying start.
The busy airside store enlisted the help of Ulster captain, Rory Best, winger Tommy Bowe and back row Iain Henderson to unveil the latest addition to the outlet.
The new range of Ulster Home and Away shorts and Beanie hats is on sale in the Discover Belfast Gift Store within Aelia Duty Free, and is already proving a real crowd-puller.
Aelia Manager, Michele Hunter, said they’d recently teamed up with supplier Kukri Clothing to support Ulster Rugby.
Michele said: “We were thrilled that three household names from Ulster Rugby accepted the ‘call up’ to get us off to a winning start with the range.
“They made ‘Grand Slam’ contributions during their stay, winning the plaudits of both staff and customers alike. We’re very proud to be supporters of Ulster Rugby and to coincide with this new partnership, we’re launching a competition for a signed shirt by the three Ulster and Ireland stalwarts. It is really easy to enter this competition. Simply visit our Facebook page facebook.com/belfastairport, like the competition post and comment below with the name of one of the three Ulster rugby stars who unveiled the new collection at Aelia Duty Free. The winner will be announced on Friday 22nd May and contacted via Facebook."
Aelia says it hopes to increase the range on offer throughout 2015.
Airport Commercial Manager, Deirdre Graffin, said the players gave the event a real boost and was confident the range would sell well.
Deirdre added: “Aelia Duty Free is a major outlet, providing a full range of quality goods for departing passengers. The retailer has a commanding presence airside and the addition of Kukri-made Ulster Rugby wear will enhance an already impressive catalogue.
“We, too, were delighted to receive the endorsement of Rory, Iain and Tommy and would like to thank them for taking the time to come along to get us off to a ‘dream start’ with the range.”
