Charity donation benefits Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The RNLI is the most recent recipient of our monthly Drop Off Zone charity donation.

One day each month the income from the airport's Drop Off Zone is donated to a charity nominated by a member of staff.

The RNLI is well known and widely supported by members of staff at Belfast International Airport, The money raised will specifically fund efforts at the Portaferry lifeboat station.

Nicola Kelly, RNLI Community Fundraising Manager said the RNLI was delighted that Belfast International Airport had raised so much money and thanked everyone involved for helping the charity that saves lives at sea.

Nicola went on to say, ‘Portaferry RNLI is one of nine lifeboat stations in Northern Ireland run by volunteers who dedicate their time to search and rescue so they can bring people to safety. From crew kit to fuel for the Portaferry lifeboat, this generous donation raised by Belfast International Airport will allow us to continue to equip and train our crews

which in turn will allow them to continue to save lives at sea.’
