Belfast International Airport has said the decision to bring the aviation sector’s foremost conference to Belfast in 2017 is a major boost for Northern Ireland
Routes Europe 2017 is expected to attract 1,200 aviation professionals with more than 100 airlines along with hundreds of airports and tourism authorities.
Belfast International Airport Managing Director, Graham Keddie, said: “Belfast International put in considerable effort into attracting Routes Europe to Belfast for 2017. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase Northern Ireland and set out how we want to be better connected to Europe.
“We were at Routes Europe 2015 in Aberdeen earlier this month when there was huge interest in our stand and what we had to offer. This event is where contacts are made, and deals are done. Attracting the three-day conference to Northern Ireland in 2017 is a major boost for the region and our airport.
“Routes Europe is to be congratulated for selecting Belfast, and now it’s up to us to make the most of the venture.”
