Airport welcomes Hillary Clinton

Published: 07 December 2012

The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has arrived at Belfast International Airport.

Her 757 touched down shortly before 10.30am and her cavalcade is now making its way to Belfast.

Belfast International Airport Managing Director, John Doran, said: “Mrs Clinton is a good friend to Northern Ireland and we’re delighted to welcome her back. She’s a powerful advocate when it comes to presenting Northern Ireland’s case to potential inward investors and that’s more important now than ever before.

“Mrs Clinton fully appreciates the challenges we face economically and is on record as being committed to helping our administration in whatever way she can. We wish her well on her brief visit, and look forward to seeing her again in the future”.
