Dropping off at BIA is business as usual
Published: 20 June 2006
Those drivers wishing to drop off passengers at Belfast International Airport can still do so, however new pick up procedures will come into place this week:
Passengers using the set down
area
Drivers dropping passengers off at the airport should follow the
signs to the set down zone. This zone is for drop off
only. Waiting or collecting passengers is not
permitted.
Drivers of High Sided vehicles (2.1m or over) should proceed to the
long stay car park where a drop off grace period of 10 minutes is
in operation.
Passengers dropped off in Long Stay should use the Q-Park courtesy
bus to get to the terminal building.
Meeters and Greeters
All drivers collecting passengers should follow the
signage to the Short Stay & Pick Up car park. Drivers
should then proceed to Arrivals to meet passengers at the
designated meeting point.
Passengers being collected
Passengers should arrange to meet friends or family
at the meeting point in Arrivals.
We would appeal to all airport users to show consideration to
departing passengers by using the designated short stay and pick-up
facility.
We apologise to all passengers and users of the airport for any
confusion caused by conflicting stories in the media.
