THOMAS COOK OFFERS HOLIDAYMAKERS MORE CHOICE FROM BELFAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Holidaymakers travelling from Belfast International Airport for this year’s summer holiday will now have even more to choose from when booking with tour operators Thomas Cook, Airtours or Direct Holidays.

In addition to the popular hotspots already on sale with these operators, the stunning destination of Kos has been added, with direct flights from Belfast International into this Greek Island operating on Thursday 30th June and Thursday 7th July for 14 nights. One of the most stunning islands in the Aegean and the birthplace of Hipprocrates, Kos caters to tourists looking for a lively holiday as well as one that is more laid back and traditionally Greek.

Known as the Sunshine State, Florida offers over 1200 miles of sandy beaches as well as adrenaline rush theme parks and so much more. The ultimate family holiday destination, Thomas Cook has now added flights to Sanford Airport in Orlando from Belfast International Airport, for holiday departures in June and July 2011 for 14 nights.

Earlier this year, Thomas Cook, Airtours and Direct Holidays announced flights to Egypt, the Balearic and Canary Islands, Mainland Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria and Tunisia for summer 2011, making it possible for even more people to get away using their local airport.

Richard Calvert, Managing Director for Mainstream Tour Operations at Thomas Cook UK & Ireland, said: “We know and understand that people like to use their local airport wherever possible and we're committed to doing just that for those looking to take a holiday from Northern Ireland.  We're excited to be able to confirm these new routes and look forward to working really closely with the airport in 2011."

Uel Hoey from Belfast International Airport, said: “It’s brilliant news that Thomas Cook has introduced some additional holiday hotspots for this summer from Belfast International Airport, so that that even more holidaymakers can experience the convenience of flying from their local airport.”
