Airporter launch new bus route into heart of Belfast's business district

Published: 04 October 2010

Award-winning coach operator, Airporter, launched their new bus service today (Monday 4th October), providing a direct link between Belfast International Airport and the Belfast Hilton Hotel and Waterfront Hall.

The new route will operate 11 times daily between Belfast Hilton Hotel / Waterfront Hall and Belfast International Airport

Airporter Managing Director, Niall McKeever, said:  “We’re delighted to announce this brand new service connecting the Belfast Hilton Hotel and Waterfront Hall with Belfast International Airport. This new service will be appealing to those travelling from the airport who want direct access to the conferencing, legal and shopping heart of Belfast city centre.

“The Hilton Hotel and Waterfront Hall are two of Belfast’s preferred venues for conferences and business meetings so this service will be particularly attractive to those flying into Belfast on business. There currently isn’t a direct bus service from either of these locations to the airport and we are confident that they will be a popular method of travel.”

Carolyn Boyd, Industry Development Manager, Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB), welcomes the new bus service:

“Not only does this new service provide a direct link from the airport to the heart of the cities’ financial centre but it is also bringing tourists to a stone’s throw from some of Belfast’s key destinations – Victoria Square shopping centre, St. George’s Market, the Odyssey Arena and Central train station, providing train access to Newry and Dublin.”

Airporter bus fares are competitively priced with travel to or from Belfast International Airport costing  £7.50.  Passengers also enjoy a 10% reduction if tickets are reserved online, using Airporter’s innovative online reservation system.
