Passing on the history of Belfast International Airport
Ernie Cromie, past UAS chairman, points out a photo of interest to Deborah Harris, public relations manager from Belfast International Airport while UAS vice chairman Guy Warner looks on. Beside them are two of three impressive graphic stands which Belfast International Airport has donated to the Ulster Aviation Society. The panels were on display in the airport terminal to help mark the 50th anniversary of the airport in October, 2013.
The panels follow the airport’s journey from its humble beginnings in October, 1963 when it was opened by the Queen Mother, to its position as Northern Ireland’s main airport. Each year the airport connects over 4 million leisure and business
passengers in this region to the world.
