“United is delighted to sponsor the Ulster Orchestra and fly its Principal Conductor, JoAnn Falletta, from New York to Belfast,” said Bob Schumacher, United’s Managing Director Sales, U.K. & Ireland. “JoAnn has been described as one of the finest conductors of her generation and we are honoured to help make her new concert programme in Belfast a reality.”
United operates daily non-stop flights from Belfast International Airport to its New York hub, Newark Liberty International Airport and will be sponsoring a number of flights for JoAnn when she flies to Belfast from her home in New Jersey to conduct Northern Ireland’s only professional symphony orchestra.

JoAnn was back in Belfast to conduct the climax of this Season and launch the Ulster Orchestra’s programme for its new 2012-2013 Season, which opens on 14 September. The new Season will include the work of 30 composers across 40 main season and lunchtime concerts with over 30 soloists, two choirs and 20 conductors.
Carl Davis will conduct the Orchestra’s Film Night: Wild Wild West! concert, which is sponsored by United, on 23 February 2013 in the Belfast Waterfront.
