Master Plan

In December 2003 the Government published 'The Future of Air
Transport', a White Paper setting out a strategic framework for the
development of airport capacity in the United Kingdom. It
required airport operators to produce Master Plans to explain how
they propose to take forward the Government's strategic framework
in the form of airport-specific proposals.
In line with this Belfast International Airport launched its draft
Master Plan for consultation on 12th September 2006.
As a result of this process and having taken on board the
views of key stakeholders, the final document has now been
completed.
It considers the growth of the Airport between now and
2015, and also looks forward to 2030 and considers the development
issues that might be faced between 2016 and 2030 in a lesser level
of detail.
