Persons with reduced mobility (PRM)
Our Commitment
Belfast International Airport welcomes passengers with reduced
mobility. We are responsible for your assistance at the
airport and your airline is responsible when you are on board
your aircraft. All assistance is provided free of
charge.
Our aim is to make your journey through our airport a unique and
positive experience and therefore we suggest you read the following
information to help you plan your outbound or return
journeys.
We have appointed Interserve as our service provider who will
ensure any assistance you require is made available to you.
They will provide assistance from your means of arrival at the
airport out to the aircraft and from the aircraft to your
means of onwards transport.

Planning Your Journey
If you have a disability or you experience any mobility difficulties and need assistance you should notify your Airline, Travel Agent or Tour Operator. Web based airlines have a mobility section for any assistance required. You should also advise of any additional equipment required such as own wheelchair, mobility aids, scooters etc. Means of notification should be completed not less than 48 hours prior to your journey whether travelling on outbound or return journeys. However, if no notification has been made, we will endeavour to make all reasonable efforts to assist you.

Belfast International Airport is served by several public bus
operators:

- Airport Express 300 to Belfast city centre
- Service 109A to Lisburn and Antrim Buscentre

- Service to Londonderry
Taxis
Official Airport Taxis are located outside the terminal building
Car parking
You can prebook your car parking online at www.parkbcp.co.uk or you can call +44 (0)870 360 1022.
- Help buttons are located at all entrance, exit barriers and pay stations
- Clearly signed blue badge wide parking spaces are available opposite the terminal building and at the entrance to the Long Stay Car Park.
- Fully accessible bus transfers are available from the Long Stay Car Park.
If you need to take your disabled parking badge onwards with you, present it to the car park supervisor who will supply you with a temporary badge for you car.
Blue Badge holders are entitled to a discounted rate in the short stay car park. To avail of these rates please make your way to the car parking office, situated in the main stay car park.
At the airport
Lifts
Lifts to all floors are clearly marked and available for public
use
Toilets
Wheelchair accessible toilets have been installed
throughout the terminal and all of these toilets have emergency
pull cords.
Ambulift
An Ambulift is available to provide access to and
from the aircraft for passengers with reduced mobility; please
inform the airline if you wish to use this facility.

Accessibility and Communication
Low level kerbs are found at the front of the
building for easy drop off and pick up.
The Assistance desk is situtated at the left hand side of the
Check-in hall.
A range of low level public telephones are situated throughout the
terminal.
Assistance
Helplines are situated throughout the terminal
building and are identified by yellow signage.
If you require assistance please ask any member of staff on duty at
the front of the terminal.
Insurance
Before you travel make sure that you have insurance
which covers your equipment needed for the journey.

Special Assistance desk - Interserve
Interserve are situated on the left side of the check-in hall.
If you have booked online and are not checking in baggage you should report to Interserve for onward assistance.
Passengers may choose to use their own wheelchair or have one provided.
Discuss with them your preferred means of access through the airport.
Arrange for stop and pick-up if you wish to shop or go for a snack or drink.
Their facilities include Inductive Loop System, Ambulifts for boarding aircraft, extra wide wheelchairs and PRM trained staff.
Staff will help you with your baggage on arrival and departure.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs can only travel if they are registered with The
Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) and if allowed by your airline and holiday
destination.
